On A drizzly wedding day
Set within the historic stone walls and grand interiors of Searles Castle in Windham, New Hampshire, the Bride and her partner celebrated their wedding day surrounded by timeless architecture and beautiful natural scenery. Robin looked radiant in her elegant gown, and the castle’s historic rooms and sweeping staircases created the perfect backdrop for portraits and candid moments throughout the day.
A gentle rain arrived just as the celebration began, but rather than hide from it, we embraced the atmosphere it created. With clear umbrellas and soft mist falling around the grounds, we captured romantic portraits beside the pond Robin had chosen for their photographs. Moments like the groom and his groomsmen waiting beneath umbrellas at the castle entrance and a candid glance from the groom’s father on the grand staircase became some of the most memorable images of the day — reminders that sometimes the unexpected weather creates the most beautiful photographs.
