A week before the wedding, on a video call, they asked if I had ever photographed an Ethiopian celebration. They mentioned there would be dancing. Nothing could have prepared me for what followed. The energy was immediate and electric. I went on high alert—completely present, anticipating every movement, photographing without pause, not wanting to miss a single beat.
