One of my favorite parts of photographing a wedding is capturing the bride and bridal party getting in makeup and having their hair done. For this particular wedding, I had several hours to document these special moments in a spacious hotel room filled with the bride, her bridesmaids, and the flower girl. The energy in the room was full of excitement, laughter, and anticipation, setting the perfect tone for the day ahead.
Getting hair and makeup done is a vital part of every bride’s preparation, and this day was no exception. The bride sat gracefully in her chair as the makeup artist and hairdresser worked their magic, illuminated by natural light streaming through the window. These moments are a photographer’s dream—perfect for intimate close-ups and storytelling shots. I especially enjoy photographing the detailed process, from the curling of hair to the final touches of makeup, as it showcases the transformation and beauty of the day.
Once the bride’s hair and makeup were complete, it was time for her to step into her wedding dress. I captured the intricate process of fastening the dress after she was in it, button by button, as well as the final touches like jewelry, gloves, and shoes. Each moment was filled with emotion and excitement, making for photographs that the bride and her family will cherish forever.
Finally, we chose a special spot in the hotel to take portraits of the bride in her gown, radiating elegance and joy. These portraits encapsulate the culmination of the morning’s preparation, highlighting not only the bride’s beauty but also the love and care that surrounded her during these moments.
This is how my day started on this occasion—documenting the intimate, beautiful process of a bride getting ready for her wedding. It’s a privilege to be part of these moments, capturing memories that tell the story of such an important day.
After the bride was completely ready, it was time for the much-anticipated 'First Look' moment, where her groom would see her for the very first time in her stunning gown.
